Computer Science is the study of the preliminary concepts involved in the working of a computer. It deals with the fundamentals of the co-existence of Software and Hardware. Usually, although not necessarily, CS is academic oriented, and the degree given in this field is a B.Sc.



Computer Applications is the study of the application of computer software in the corporate world. It deals with the learning of various programming languages, and calls for impeccable proficiency in Java, C++, Python, etc. The degree given in this field is a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), which is a more 'job-ready' course.
