What is the difference between computer science engineering and computer engineering ? Which is better for further studies like btech. ?
Hello.. Computer sciencr engineering is all about analysis of program language and algorithms and comp engineering is all about solving hard drive problems.. both courses are good.. but Cse is more good as it has widely scope in analysing the programming coding.. and all depends on your choice in which you are intrested.. you can take btech lateral
Hii,
It depends on your perspective and what you think you are good at. It also depends on the country and individual university. Usually, in computer engineering you have to go through the hurdle of learning the electrical engineering and hardware stuff as well as the data structure, programming etc which fall both under Computer Engineering or CS. If you don't like the embedded systems, electronics and those core electrical engineering classes with labs-which both EEs or CmpEs usually take, then you are better off just taking CS as a major. BUT personally I would go with Computer Engineering or perhaps even Electrical Engineering, then would take computer engineering and CS electives in my senior year if I were you. That way I am employable for a wide variety of jobs (EE/CompE/CS) and later can narrow down my specialization based on work experience if I go to grad school. But if you know what you want specifically then go for it. If you are into AI, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Brain-Computer Interaction etc or know will be perusing grad school/research in the future then go for CS. Or if you know you will work in the IT or Software DevOp positions then pick CS. You could still end up in the same route from Computer Engineering, except that it gives you a much wider options to look for jobs but perhaps it is a harder route.
Thank you.
