What is the difference between CSE and IT branch? And also between CSE and COMPUTER ENGINEERING?
Hi,
Computer science engineering: CSE to offers studies related design, implementation, and management of information system of both software and hardware processes.
IT:It deals with installation, development and implementation of computer systems and applications
Computer science engineering involvs progaramming using mathematical algorithms. IT on the other hand involves installing networks and computer systems and a little bit of programming as well.
Both the streams have good career opportunities.
Careers in CS: With a four-year CS degree, students can find employment as programmers, software engineers or IT professionals. However, to become a software developer, graduates usually must teach themselves quite a bit of programming on their own
Careers In IT:
With a two- or four-year IT degree, graduates can find work in a number of occupations, including information security, network architecture, database administration, systems administration and computer support.
Most of them think that CSE and IT are are same, but it is not true. Both field are different from each other.
You should remember that both are not interchangeable and do not mean the same thing. No doubt IT and CSE have around 90 per cent similar prescribed courses but the approach is different. Both will take you to different career paths and you have to be very clear about your career goals while making a choice here.
Some of the difference are:
CSE:Computer science engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.
IT:Information Technology deals with the use of computers and computer software to store, protect process, transmit and securely retrieve data. IT professionals perform a variety of tasks that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases.
The major difference between both these fields is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications. To make it short and simple, Computer Science is the creation of software and hardware by using different programming skills. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task.
Therefore both are different not same.
Hope it helped you
Thank you
