The core difference between CSIR NET and UGC NET is that the former is only meant for science stream only for five subjects such as physical science/mathematical science/biological science/chemical science/earth science

the eligibility criteria for UGC NET is passed master's degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university securing 55% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, in case of CSIR NET those who have completed BTech/Bpharm/BS degree of four years/Integrated MSc or BS-MS securing 55% aggregate are also eligible to apply,

Both CSIR NET and UGC NET has got JRF/lectureship, though in case of JRF there is age limit such as 28 years for CSIR NET as on 1st January of the appearing year for UGC NET it's but for lectureship there is no age limit. for UGC NET this year the age limit is increased to 31 years through generally it's 30 years, these exams are conducted twice a year separately by NTA, visit the respective pages of the entrance exam as mentioned below to know more details regarding this-
