what is the difference between degree and hons degree?

First point is both the degrees come under undergraduate degree. Ordinary degree and Honours level degree are one and same upto a limit. The difference you will find is in the syllabus and even in the course duration in some Colleges/countries. In normal general/Honours degree has a course duration of 3 year's. Where in few countries/Colleges Hons degree has course duration 4 year's.

Now coming to syllabus Hons students will have depth syllabus when compared to general students. Syllabus will be slight tough when compared to general degree.

Now coming to Career opportunities, sometimes Hons students don't need post graduation for a job where it's mandatory for general students. And in few places both the graduate students are treated equally
