What is the difference between FMGRE and NEXT?
Hello,
Medical Council of India Screening Test, also known as Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) is a licensure examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
The test is one of the mandatory requirements for an Indian citizen who has a medical degree from a college outside India to practice medicine in the country.
In this examination, the passing percentage is observed to be just 10%-20% with an average of 12%.
In 2019, neet pg was scrapped andcommon national exam for all MBBS students called NEXT or the National Exit Test was introduced.
NEXT will also be the common gateway to attain a licence to practice medicine across India.
NEXT, if it is held will substitute three tests which includes NEET-PG ,recruitment exam for Central Health Services and FMGE.
Hope this helps!!!
