Abroad medical colleges provide a very good number of seats as compared to indian colleges. Fees of the Abroad colleges is higher than that of the Indian private colleges. If you complete MBBS from Abroad you will have to give MCI clearance exam to start practicing in India.MCI screening test is also known as the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) which is mandatory for foreign medical graduates and is conducted by the National Board of Examination to practice the profession in India .But if you complete MBBS from Indian college whether private or government There is no such need of giving the test.Hope this helps you.

Hi Akshay,

The basic difference lies in the curriculum. The Indian private colleges follow the Indian curriculum while the curriculum in medical colleges abroad is somewhat different.

In India, the use of human bodies for dissection and teaching is allowed while the colleges abroad use mannequins and models for the same.

The fees structure may have some differences based on the college you choose.

After completing MBBS from abroad, you need to clear FMGE in order to practice in India. There is no need for the same in case you are from any Indian medical college.

Another non academic difference lies in the environment. The foreign environment with some foreign language of theirs is a lot different than the one in which we grow up.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Hello,

I would recommend getting admission in an Indian Medical College as getting into an abroad medical College would require lots of investment and also hidden charges.

Also the exit exam and the screening tests are quite different. MCI screening test will have more of clinical test questions.

Abroad medical colleges are more expensive than the Indian private medical colleges.MCI screening test is also known as the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) which is mandatory for foreign medical graduates and is conducted by the National Board of Examination to practice the profession in India. It is better to take admission in Indian medial College.Hope this helps you.Thank you.

Hey

the difference firstly lies in the system of education & the way of teaching itself.

here in Indian private colleges you are theoritically more prepared but in abroad medical college the focus more on clinical knowledge testing

they will obviously have better quality of infrastructure & facilities but if you do your mbbs from abroad you have to sit for a screening test if you want to return to India for practice

goodluck!
