Hello,
Both JEE Mains and JEE advanced are engineering Entrance exams to get in various branches of engineering and architecture colleges. But JEE advanced is the after stage of engineering exam, if you will pass JEE mains then only you can give JEE advanced otherwise not. To get through any IIT it is mandatory to clear mains and give advanced and get a good rank. By giving JEE mains and getting good score, you can take admission in any of the NITs and some good Colleges such as DTU, NSIT etc. And if you pass JEE mains then you will have to appear for JEE advanced.
JEE Main is for candidates who want to study BE or B.Tech in the participating states' National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), or engineering colleges. The JEE Main is also used to determine if students are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam, which leads to admission to either the IITs or the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
Candidates can sit for the JEE Main exams for three years in a row, but only two years in a row for the JEE Advanced exams. The two exams' syllabuses are also different. The syllabus for the JEE Main exams is based on the CBSE Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Math syllabi. The JEE Advanced exam necessitates the study of a few additional topics. The two tests also differ in that applicants must have a thorough understanding of the topics and their applications in order to answer the JEE Advanced questions. In JEE Advanced tests, speed and accuracy are emphasised, whereas in JEE Mains exams, just speed is emphasised.
I hope you got the difference between JEE mains and advanced.
Thank you!
