Dear Student,
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test also known as NEET is an exam conducted every year by the NTA, this exam is to avail seats in all the Government Medical Colleges of India as well as the private medical colleges in India. However AIIMS Exam is conducted to avail a seat in the AIIMS Institutions such as, AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh. This was the difference between the two exams before. However now the system is different and admission to AIIMS is also done through NEET.
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well,
NEET is for government colleges and all private colleges in the country. AIIMS is for all institutes that come under the AIIMS - there are a total of 7 universities, AIIMS Delhi being the oldest and most renowed. As for difficulty of the exam, AIIMS is less NCERT based and NEET is more NCERT based.
While NEET covers Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, AIIMS-MBBS -in addition to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology- includes General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. Since AIIMS-MBBS has additional sections of GK, Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning, it is considered tougher than NEET.
But now the admission in all the Medical colleges including AIIMS is through Neet examination only.
There is no more AIIMS entrance exam conducted so you can go for NEET examination for your MBBS studies.
Hope this information helps,
Best of luck
