Gopika, B.Pharmacy is a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Pharma D on the other hand is a Doctoral Programme for a duration of 6 years. Both courses are pursued after your 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics. A Bachelor's degree is an Undergraduate degree after which you can pursue Masters and then a Ph.d probably if you want. But a Doctoral Degree is a better course than Bachelors. So if you take up B.Pharmacy, you might have to pursue Masters later. But if you take Pharma D, you needn't pursue any Master's course as Pharma D is a Doctoral degree. In both the courses, you get to study the drugs, their reaction, pharma logical structure, chemical bonding etc. But with Pharma D, you also get to learn the diagnosis of the condition, treatment, therapeutic usage of the drugs and their prescription. The opportunities, scope and salaries differ because B.Pharmacy is just an Undergraduate degree while Pharma D is a Doctoral degree. And Pharma D is on the higher end of the scale in regards to opportunities and salaries as well. So if you have to choose one among these 2, Pharma D is advisable.

Hey,

The B. Pharma is four year graduation degree in pharmacy whereas D. Pharma is a two year diploma in pharmacy.

One can get lateral entry admission in B. Pharma if they have done Diploma in pharmacy i.e. D. Pharma.

B. Pharma is more good then compare to D. Pharma as it's a four year degree, so one gets a more good job with degree then diploma.
There are many MNCs recruits only degree holders and also the eligibility criteria for various government is to have a degree in any field. So B. Pharma is better than D. Pharma.

Hope this helps, all the best.

hey,

i hope you are doing well so the thing is that B.pharm is an under graduate course which is of 4 years while pharm D stands for doctor of pharmacy , it is a post graduate doctorate degree program which is of 2 years , after completing your B.pharm you will be graduated but after completing pharm D , you will be given the title of Dr.

b.pharm focuses on research and it is a industrial oriented course while pharm D focus on fundamental concepts of pharmacy

i hope this helps !

good luck

Hey!

Pharm D basically focuses on fundamental concepts of pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, healthcare studies, etc whereas B Pharmacy a research and industry oriented course and focuses on drug manufacturing, research and general pharmacy studies.

In general  D pharm is better as it consists of more concepts of Pharmacy than Bpharm.

Thank you
