What is the difference between Private Quota and Management Quoata in KIMS, Bangalore. My rank is 338181. Marks: 291. In which quota will I be eligible?
Hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well,
For both private and management quota, a candidate needs to clarify the basic cut-off of NEET2020.
Qualifying cutoff
- UR/EWS: 720-147
- OBC: 146-113
- SC: 146-113
- ST: 146-113
- UR/EWS-PWD: 146-129
Previously any candidate who has not attempted NEET attempt were eligible for Management quota admission. BUT new norms state that for any kind of admission in a medical institution one needs to qualify NEET.
A specific % of seats in private medical colleges are for candidate who clarified NEET2020 and a seat directly through the counseling. Their fee structure is decided by the government and is considerably very less than management quota candidates. These are known private seats.
Those students who were unable to get seat through private quota can apply through management quota and and their fee regulation is quite high when compared to private quota. Some seats are allotted by by the private board of members of those particular medical institutions. Their fees is almost 3-4 times higher than the normal fee. Candidates of these two cases fall under management quota.
