TIU is an autonomous college i. e. it has its own rules and does not follow the rules of MAKAUT,the question papers and checking of the answer sheets are all done by the TIU teachers only(no outsider), hence it is easier to get marks in TIU. Where as TISL fall under MAKAUT University and it has to follow its rules and regulations, the question paper is supplied from MAKAUT and it is also corrected by the teachers assigned by it.hence getting marks becomes little difficult in TISL than in TIU.
The fee structure is also very different. TIU has a very high fee than TISL. TIU takes approximately 79000 per Sem where as TISL takes 40000. Needless to say the facilities and infrastructure provided by TIU is much better than TISL.
You have to have a high rank for entering in TISL (with minimum 60 percent in classes 10 and 12, and minimum of 45 percent in PCM in class 12). In TIU this isn't mandatory.
TISL is an established institute and the 3rd best private institution in West Bengal whereas TIU is comparatively new and still has to make a name for itself.
The certificate provided by TISL i. e. the certificate of MAKAUT holds much more value than the certificate by TIU.
As of placement, no college can provide 100 percent placement but still TISL provides average of 4-5 LPA . As for TIU provides average of 3.5-5 LPA.
