what is the difference between union & central government
The Government of India referred as the Central government or union government or simply the centre,is the union government created by the constitution of India as the legislative, executive and judicial authority to govern the union of 28 states and eight union territories. In common parlance, the terms union government and central government are used interchangeably in India. From the point of the usage of the word 'centre' indicates a point in the middle of a circle, whereas 'union' is the whole circle. In india.the relationship between the so called 'centre' and states,as per the constitution,is actually a relationship between the whole and its parts. The relation between the whole and its parts is definitely different from the relation between a centre and periphery. The word 'centre' is not used in the constitution,so the makers of constitution discarded the 'Centre' word and used word 'union' instead of that.
