What is the difference between Ursa major and saptarishi
Dear,
They are basically the same.Ursa Major constellation lies in the northern sky. The name means “the great bear" in Latin. The smaller bear is represented by Ursa Minor. Its brightest stars form the Big Dipper asterism, one of the most recognizable shapes in the sky, also known as the Plough. Ursa Major is also called as Saptarishi as it has seven prominent stars.
Hope this helps!
Ursa major is itself called Saptarishi. Both are same.
Ursa major is the constellation seen in northern sky and consists of 7 stars in a row, taking a shape of kite, in a way. The seven stars are named after seven rishis in the Hindu mythology. It resembles big dipper.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
