Hello,

BE course is offered by various engineering colleges along with B.Tech courses.

BE(Bachelor or Engineering) is a 4 year undergraduate course in the field of engineering.A candidate can specialize in either Mechanical, Civil,Electronics, etc.Admission is provided on the basis of the marks obtained in the respective entrance exam. Now this course has more of a theoretical approach to work out new innovations in technology. It may include invention of new gadgets.

B.Tec(Bachelor in Technology) is also and undergraduate course in the field of engineering, where again the candidates can specialize in many fields. The duration is of 4 years divided into 8 semesters. Now this course has more of practical approach and focuses on application based study which requires implementation of skills and technological knowledge.

Regarding the preferences,it depends from person to person. However both the courses have wide scope and good to build out a career from it.

Thank you.

BE IS BASICALLY BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING, WHICH IS MORE THEORETICAL AND HAVE LESS OF PRACTICAL

WHEREAS

BE IS BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY, WHICH IS MORE DIVERTED TOWARDS PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE AND STUFF

BUT IN INDIA BOTH ARE SAME AS FOR B TECH ONLY a FEW IIT AND THEIR FEW DEPARTMENTS HAVE GOT A GOOD LAB FOR PRACTICAL RESEARCH.

EG -- ELECTRONICS  LAB IN IIT MADRAS

Hi aspirant

In India, we have two types of colleges, one, those offering degrees in many fields like arts, science, business including engineering and are generally known as Universities, and the second, which offer degrees only in engineering and are generally known as Institutes. Universities that offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institutes providing professional courses like engineering named their engineering degree as B. Tech. (Bachelor of Technology).
