Both terms,automobile  and  automotive  are related tovehicleindustry.Automobile is  a noun that usually refers to a four-wheeledautomotive vehicledesigned for passenger transportation whereas  automotive isan adjective relating to motorvehicles. This  is  the main  difference between automobile and  automotive.

Hello,

The main difference is that the automotive engineering is a sub branch of mechanical engineering which deals with working of all kinds of vehicles and moter driven items.

But the automobile engineering is further a sub branch of automobile engineering which particularly deals with cars which includes working of cars, designing, engine etc.
