For an assistant professor in an IIT or an NIT, the salary is around 95,000 with house allowances. After completion of three years as an assistant professor the salary is around 1,15,000. For an assistant professor on contract the salary is around 70,000-80,000. These are the rough figures and they can vary from college to college and year to year do keep that in mind.
