What is the differnce btw electronic engineering and electronics and communication engineering which is best.
Hello deepanshu,
I might understand your confusion. As i am an electrical engineer i had also same soubt at starting when i want to choose my degree engineering.
See, the ELECTRONICS ENGINNERING deals with all type of integrated circuit, microcontrollers, voltage and current level apparatus, etc. It includes switch gear and protection, ac machines and dc machines, testing and commissioning of electrical devices, panels, machines, etc.
While the communication engineering includes devices and instruments which are involve in communication works like telecom, cables, data transmissiona and flexiblity, etc.
If you stillhave any query you can write in comments
Electrical engineering-
1) u will study Electrical machines- transformers, Motor and Generators.
2)u will study study designing of power system, ie, how to transmit electricity from power plant to ur home.
3) Control engineering and electrical measurement instruments- Every kind of electrical measurement instrument made for measuring quantities like Inductance, capacitance, power factor, etc
4) Analog electronics and power electronics- U will get to study Diodes, transistors, amplifiers, waveform generators, PLL, etc. power electronics will teach u about the electronics component used in high voltage applications like- electronics used in electric locomotives, power plant, etc
5)Embedded is sometimes elective, depends upon what ur university thinks about it- embedded is nothing but a branch which deals with a small controlling system made for day to day life devices like washing machine, automobiles, etc to make them smart.
Electronics and communication engineering-
1) the major difference between EE and ECE is digital electronics, ECE people study digital electronics with dedication. All the modern electronic gadgets like smartphones, tabs, computers, laptops, digital calculators, LED etc are based on this branch. Major innovation are going on in this field.
2)Some subjects from programming and Computer science like, Database management system, Algorithms, C/C++, Computer networks etc.
3) No presence of subjects which deals with electricity transmission, distribution and generation etc.
4)Microprocessor and VLSI- In non-technical language, we can say, it deals with designing and study of Microprocessors used in ur computers and smartphones (Though its application is much vast like it is used in PLCs, embedded etc).
I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.
