Hello!

The average distance from the Sun to the Moon is 150 million kilometres or 93 million miles. Since the Moon orbits the Earth, their distance from the Sun essentially is about the same. Still, because the orbits are elliptical, their distances from the Sun may vary somewhat. A central body for the solar system is the Sun, and both the Earth and the Moon stay far away from it at all times.
