what is the drawing syllabus of NID?

Dear Aspirant,

the NID entrance examinations are divided into two categories, one being the preliminary exams and the second being the mains examinations. Both the examinations have different syllabuses.

The syllabus for the prelim exams are :-

  • Theme development
  • Exercises on imagination
  • Graphics & pictograms
  • Drawing fundamentals
  • Inspiration & design development
  • 3D visualization
  • Elements & principles of design
  • Memory drawing

The syllabus for the mains exam are :-

  • Model making
  • Questions generally asked in an interview
  • Material manipulation
  • Mock interview
  • Audio-visual exercises
  • Evolving ideas
  • Importance of body language
  • Doodling
  • Past studio test & interview questions
  • Interview tips
  • Creative thinking
  • Portfolio Making
