1. The Master of Computer Application (MCA) course will now be a two year course.
2. It was decided to reduce the course duration by one year, in the 545th Meeting of University Grant Commission (UGC) held in December 2019.
3. From the coming academic session, MCA programme will be taught as per the new course duration.
4. So far, the course was of three years' duration.
5. Candidates who have passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree or passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2, are eligible to enroll in the MCA course.

You can go for mca after bsc in computer science. It is a 3 year pg degree and it provides a lot of knowledge on computer science. It will now be a 2 years course
You can take admission on the basis of merit or on entrance exams like BIT MCA, VIT MEE, MAH MCA CET, UPSEE etc.
The top colleges includes JNU, NITs, DU, VIT, universityof Hyderabad, Christ University. They also provide great placements through campusing. As for their fees structure it is 1- 5 lakhs.
Mca provides good jobs in mnc's with average salary around rs 2,50,000 - 5,00,000 annually
