Eligibility Criteria
A candidate seeking admission to the B.A, LL.B (Hons.) program at NLSIU must:
Have passed Class 12 or equivalent thereto, securing in the first attempt, not less than 45% (40% in case of SC/ST and persons with disability) in aggregate, and
Present the results of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
Admission Process
Admission to the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) program at NLSIU is purely on merit as assessed through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by the CLAT Committee constituted for the purpose. CLAT is conducted every year on rotation by the participating National Law Universities on second Sunday of May from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. CLAT is a computer-based test.

So if you're interested in pursuing law after class 12th directly, you can apply for admission here. The eligibility criteria requires you to score a minimum aggregate of at least 45% marks in your 12th boards to be eligible. Other than this admission is based only on your CLAT rank. CLAT is a national level test for admission in NLUs in India. You'd be required to take CLAT for admission here.
