what is the eligibility criteria for aiims college?. for belonging general category.
Ravi, now that AIIMS has been scrapped in favour of NEET, there are 2 ways that AIIMS might go about considering Candidates for admission to NEET.
- Retain the minimum eligibility criteria of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English for General Category and 50% for Reserved Categories in their 12th board exams.
- Or go with NTA and follow the eligibility criteria of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST.
AIIMS will conduct the admissions through NEET score through All India Counselling but hasn't released any official prospectus yet. So it is quite unclear at this point in time. But to be on a safer side, calculate your marks in your 12th in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and make sure you secure atleast 60%. There is no harm in scoring more because it is better to be safe than to be sorry.
Candidates who have passed or are appearing in class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board
Candidate must be 17 years of age by December 31, 2020.
There is no upper age bar in NEET 2020. However, this is subject to the orders of the Supreme Court
If you're asking about AIIMS MBBS exam as tagged in the question, then I would like to tell you that AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS exams have been scrapped. And Neet will serve as single medical entrance exam for UG courses in the nation. Therefore, admission to MBBS in AIIMS, New Delhi and all AIIMS like institutions will be made through NEET UG examination.
