Hey,

The eligibility criteria to pursue Master of Arts in English(entrance based) from The University of Delhi requires you to have a Bachelors degree in English from the University of Delhi with minimum 45 percent  for General Category,40.5 percent for OBC or having BA Honours degree from any recognized university with 50 percent for unreserved category and 45 percent for OBC. For merit based,BA Honours degree from the University of Delhi with 60 percent marks for Unreserved category.  54 percent for OBC.

MA in English Honours DU eligibility criteria:

Admission to the course is done through two methods, direct and entrance test. Direct admission is offered for candidates who have completed B.A Honours degree in English from the University of Delhi. Such candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Reserved category candidates like OBC/SC/ST/PwD need to have 55% marks only.


Entrance test will be conducted for those candidates having completed B.A Honours in (English) from Delhi University with a minimum of 45% marks. Reserved category candidates with less mark can also seek admission on the basis of entrance exam. OBC candidates need to have at least 40.5% marks in the qualifying examination where as physically disabled ones needs to hold 40% marks only. In case of SC/ST candidates, mere pass in B.A Honours degree (in English) is enough to apply for the entrance test.

Qualified candidates from other recognized Universities other than Delhi University can also apply. In such situations general category candidates is required to have at least 50% marks in qualifying degree. Those belonging to OBC category should have a minimum of 45% marks. Here also SC/ST category candidates, require mere pass in the qualifying examination to appear for the entrance test.
