NATA eligibilty criteria prescribed in following ways:


  • Candidates must have obtained 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also overall 50% aggregate score at 10+2 level.
  • Candidates who have passed any 10+3 diploma exam with Mathematics as a subject and scored at least 50% marks are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Students appearing in class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to appear in NATA, however, their result will be declared valid after fulfilling the above criteria.
  • The marks cannot be rounded off, as if the candidate has secured 49.9% marks in his/her qualifying exam then the marks would be counted as 49.9% only.
  • The lower age limit for appearing in NATA has been waived. However, the candidate has to comply with any age constraints that may be specified by respective Counselling/ Admission Authority.
  • Score of NATA 2019 is valid for a period of 12 months i.e. 1 year from the date a candidate appears for NATA exam.
  • For students of International/ NRI status, NATA 2019 Eligibility remains the same as it is for the Indian nationals. There is no separate set of Eligibility parameters set for international/NRI candidates who want to appear for NATA 2019.

The eligibility criteria of NATA 2019 includes the list of conditions that candidates need to meet in order to be considered for admission to B.Arch. Course. Any candidate who doesn’t meet prescribed NATA 2019 eligibility criteria won’t be considered for admission even if he/she qualifies in the exam. The candidate should, therefore, ensure they meet all prescribed NATA 2019 eligibility criteria before filling the application.

A Summary of NATA 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Background : The candidate must have either passed/appearing in 10+2.

  • Minimum marks : The candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate in physic, chemistry and mathematics. Further, the candidate needs to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

  • Age limit : The candidate must be minimum 17 years of age as on July 31, 2019.

NATA Eligibility Criteria 2019

Before applying for the examination, there are certain parameters that a candidate must fulfill. They are as follows:

  • 10+2 graduates or appearing with Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
  • 10+3 Diploma holders (any stream)/ appearing recognised by Central/ State Government with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination.
  • There is no age criterion for appearing in NATA 2019
  • There are not any lateral admission criteria for admission in any stage/year of B.Arch course.
  • There is no relaxation for special category students (SC/ST/OBC)
