Located in Bardhaman, Burdwan University is one of the leading teaching and research university in West Bengal. The eligibility criteria for admission in the Post Graduate courses is to possess a Bachelor's degree in the respective field. Application forms can be submitted online thorugh the official admission portal. For admissions in M.A. English, Candidate should possess a bachelors Honours degree in the relevant discipline (10+2+3). Merit lists will be prepared on the basis of the marks in the honours and also the 12th board marks. There is no entrance test.

The minimum eligibility criteria  required for the candidates is to possess a Bachelor's degree in English or relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 60%. Admission to MA English is done on the basis of entrance tests.Jan 2, 2019

Eligibility Criteria to get an admission in Bardhman University is

The University provides for 12 UG courses under various specialization at different colleges. The UG courses are for 3 years except for B.Tech. which has a duration of 4 years and the integrated course B.A.L.L.B. having a duration of 5 years. Admission to these UG courses are based on the HSC results of the candidate except for the B.Tech. courses which also considers the West Bengal Joint Entrance results. All candidates must have a minimum of 45% in their 10+2 examination.

Burdwan University offers bachelor’s courses in various disciplines. The minimum qualification for all the bachelors’ courses is a pass in class 12th with at least 45% marks in aggregate. The selection will be done on the basis of merit except for B.Tech., whose selection will be done on the basis of WB JEE and LLB, whose selection will be done on the basis of entrance exam.
