You have not mentioned the name of the exam you want to know the pattern of but I can see you have mentioned your educational interest as Design. Some popular design entrance exams are -
Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design(UCEED), NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT), All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED),Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam(UPSEE), Symbiosis Entrance Test(SET) and many more.
Most of the exams mentioned follow a similar pattern. Below is the pattern for UCEED -
It is in English and is a Computer Based Test. Duration three hours for 300 marks It has 3 Sections -
Section A - Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Section B – Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), Section C – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
Numerical Answer Type has no choices. The answer is a number in this section and candidates will have to respond by using the virtual keyboard. There is NO negative marking for wrong answers If the question is not answered then zero mark will be given. Four marks will be given for responding correctly and has 20 questions.
Multiple Select Questions will have one or more correct answers out of the four choices that are given in it. Zero mark will be given if the question is not answered. There is no partial or negative marking in this section. If all the choices that are selected are correct then the candidate will be given four marks and has 25 questions.
Multiple Choice Questions has four answers out of which only one is correct. For every correct answer, three marks will be awarded If the question is left unanswered, candidate will be given zero mark. For every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted has 40 questions.
