Yes every year there is a verification process done for the PWD candidates for entry into IIT's if they are willing to enter through PWD quota. The complete details for the physical verification process for IIT's (2021) is mentioned below:

Physical Verification: For IITs

• Physical verification process starts from the first day of JoSAA 2021 choice filling, i.e., October 16, 2021, and continue through the counseling rounds of JoSAA 2021.
• Each JEE (Advanced) 2021 qualified PwD candidate is required to complete this process latest by the end of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any), failing which the allocated seat shall be canceled.
• Before candidates come for physical verification they are required to register on the JoSAA 2021 portal.
• Candidates are required to choose any one IIT (for physical verification), date, as well as time (FN/AN) using the link available on the JoSAA 2021 portal before coming for physical verification.
• The verification can be done in one of the following two intervals:
• Interval 1: During the first 10 days of Choice filling,(October 16 to 25, 2021).
• Interval 2: During the actual counseling rounds: Each candidate seeking to get the benefit of the PwD category is required to complete this process latest by the end of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any).
