What is the exam pattern for KCET??
KCET Exam Pattern 2019- Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has prescribed a set pattern for KCET exam. As per the set KCET exam pattern,the exam is spread over a duration of two days and is conducted in four (different) sessions for four different subjects. On the first day, the exam will be conducted for Biology and Mathematics subjects in two sessions and on the next day,KCET EXAM will be conducted for Physics and Chemistry subjects in two sessions.
KCET 2019 will be conducted for admission to the first year of the Engineering and Pharmacy courses. The common entrance test is to be conducted on April23 and April 24, 2019. In order to register for the exam on time as well as receive/download the kCET admit card, candidates need to be certain about all the important dates of this entrance exam.
Karnataka CET results are mostly declared in the month of April/May every year. After the declaration of results, candidates need to appear for KCET 2019 counselling.
Candidates need to appear for CET in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects to secure admissions in Medical, Dental, Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy courses.
Those seeking admissions in Engineering / Technology courses need to appear for entrance exams in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.
Architecture course aspirants need to appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) which is conducted by the Council of Architecture.
KCET is usually spread out over two days wherein aptitude of candidates is tested in four subjects.
The tests for these subjects are held in four different sessions.
Each question paperis from KCET syllabus and comprises questions in (Objective) Multiple Choice type formatsKCET question paper (in each subject)is in 16 different versions and each question asked will have four different answers from which the candidate can selectIn case a candidate selects multiple answers then no marksare awarded for such a question KCET question paper version code is boldly printed on facing sheet of the question paper.
The version codes used in each paper will be from A - 1 to A - 4, B - 1 to B - 4, C - 1 to C - 4 and D - 1 to D - 4It is mandatory for candidates to affix their left-hand thumb impression in the space provided on the KCET OMR answer sheet with the ink-pad provided by the exam Invigilator.
KCET 2019 Question Paper will be set from the syllabus of First and Second year PUC recommended by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka.
Candidates are required to familiarize themselves with the syllabus to score well in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2019.
KCET marking scheme 2019
As per the KCET marking scheme, the exam will carry a total of 60 questions in each of the four sections. Each paper in KCET 2019 will be of 80 minutes duration and candidates can secure a maximum of 60 marks in each exam. As per the KCET exam pattern 2019, the question paper will have Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) wherein for every correct response candidates are awarded one mark. There is no negative marking in KCET.
