What is the exam pattern for mechanical engineering in gate 2018
Total 100 marks
3 hours duration
Number enter type questions have no negative marking.
Questions which have options has negative marking.
There will be total 65 questions in your exam and total marks will be 100 and exam duration will be 3 hours.
Two types of questions will be asked in your exam
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions
-For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt.
-In case of 2-mark MCQs, the candidate will be penalised 2/3 mark for wrong attempt.
-There is no negative marking for numerical answer type (NAT) questions.
