UGC NET exam pattern was changed by NTA in December 2018.
Accoding to the new Exam Pattern, it will have 2 papers, i.e., Paper1 & Paper2.
There are 50 questions in Paper1 making the total of 100 marks and 100 in Paper2 making the total of 200 marks.
Please note that there is no negative marking in both the papers, hence you can answer all the questions.
Form June 2019 the exam will be of 3 hours without any break.

Hello Avni, Paper 1 has 10 topics. Each topic generally has 5 questions carrying 2 marks each. You can click on this link to get detailed updated syllabus of the exam- https://www.ugcnetonline.in/syllabus-new.php There is one reading comprehension carrying 10marks and one Data Interpretation question carrying 10 marks. Which comes every time. Then there is 2-3 question from general awareness, apart from this you get around 5 questions from simple math, logical and verbal reasoning. And the rest questions are from the different part of the syllabus such as teaching aptitude, research aptitude, Communication, ICT etc. Overall the questions are easy as they ask very basic and conceptual questions.
