Dear Anisha, IPMAT is divided into 3 categories like Quantitave Ability, Quantitative Analysis and Verbal Ability. The test will have 100 questions. Quantitative Ability is Multiple choice for 40 questions and the time allotted is 40 minutes. Quantitative Analysis is Short Answers for 20 questions. 40 questions are posed in Verbal ability for 40 minutes. Each correct answer gets you 4 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark. There is no negative marking for Quantitative Analysis.
