What is the exam pattern of MHT CET 2018?
Hello. MHT CET is the entrance examination which is held annually for admissions into the engineering institutes of the state. For admissions, you will be required to qualify the examination. The exam of MHT CET 2018 will be held in offline mode (pen and paper mode) tentatively in the second week of May 2018. The exam will be divided into two sessions – Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics and Chemistry). Each session will be 1 hour 30 minutes long and will be worth 100 marks each. Paper I will consist of 50 Mathematics questions. Each correct answer will be given 2 marks and there will be no negative marking. The exam will held in English/Hindi/Marathi language. Paper II will consist of 50 Physics and 50 Chemistry questions. For each correct response, you will be awarded 1 mark while no marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. The exam will conducted only in English language.

The MHT CET 2018 exam pattern as prescribed by DTE, Maharashtra includes 200 questions in total. The entrance exam will have two papers – Paper 1 will include questions from Mathematics having total 50 multiple choice questions from class XI and XII syllabus in adequate ratio. The questions in Paper 1 will be of 2 marks each, which means this paper will be of total 100 marks (50*2).
Paper 2 will include 50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry, class XI & XII syllabus. Each question in this section will be of 1 mark totalling the paper to 100. The time allotted for each paper will be 1 hour 30 minutes each and you will have to attempt all the questions in the exam.
The exam will be conducted in English, Marathi or Urdu languages for Paper 2 i.e. for Physics and Chemistry. For Paper 1 i.e. Mathematics, the paper will be in English language only.
