Hello aspirant.

You will have to satisfy at least one of the following twocriteria foradmission to IITs and should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 75%marks. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% as they need the aggregate of minimum 65%marks.

The qualifying JEE Main cutoff  is the minimum score candidate needs to score to be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. ... The JEE Main cutoff published by JoSAA will be branch and category specific for each participating institute; and each cutoff will list the minimum ranks required for admission

There is no fixed criteria of a score to be eligible for JEE Advanced. Just that you have to be in the top 1.5 lakh candidates fulfilling the board criteria as well. Cut-off for the top 1.5 lakh candidates last year was 105 marks out of 360 which is not even 30 percent.

Well its a good question in a way that it shows your concern for your preparation of jee mains and it is something everybody need to think about & this question helps us make a target for ourself to achieve more marks so that we can easily get our choice of IITs, IIITs or NIT.

To get a prediction of cutoff for JEE MAIN there many ways in which you can predict the cutoff

By giving mock papers you can check your potential and preparation of how much marks you can get in paper, this creates a base line for you to how much more marks you need to have.

This is related to the first one, after you gave some mock papers , now the the work of checking previous papers cutoffs come, as this is your aim to get marks required to get any of reputated institute for yourself.

General: 70 marks to 80 marks.

NCL-OBC: 43 marks at 50 marks.

SC: between 27 marks and 30 marks.

ST: 22 on 26 marks.

All the best.

Thank you
