At undergraduate level, College of Engineering, Trivandrum offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) to the candidates. The college also accepts a lateral entry in the B.Tech program and it also conducts B.Tech program on part-time basis for the working professionals.
Admission to the B.Tech program is done through KEAM conducted by the Government of Kerala while admission in the B.Tech lateral is done on the basis of marks scored in State level entrance test conducted by the Joint Controller of Technical Examinations. Admission to the B.Arch program is done through NATA conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture.

All seats under Lateral Entry scheme will be filled from the common rank list prepared by the Directorate of Technical Education for the LET Admission.
15% of seats under Lateral Entry are reserved as Management seats in Aided Engineering Colleges and remaining 85% will be allotted as Government seats.
Communal reservation for candidate belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and SC/ST category will be followed as per usual norms.
3% Seats are reserved for physically disabled candidates. Candidates claiming reservation under physically disabled quota shall have a minimum of 40% disability.
One seat each is reserved for Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Information Technology branch for defence quota
