PSUs like ONGC, ISRO, OIL also regularly recruit postgraduates and doctorates in geology.
One can build academic career by qualifying NET, lecturer eligibility test.
There is a good demand of research associates at IITs, ISM, Dhanbad and the regional science centres.
Besides, there is always scope in associated fields like remote sensing.
