Hii There,
The vast floodplains known as the Indus–Ganga plains, or commonly referred to as the "Great Plains," are extensive areas adjacent to the Indus, Ganga, and Brahmaputra river systems. These plains run parallel to the Himalayan mountain range, spanning from Jammu and Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the west to Assam in the east, covering much of Northern and Eastern India. Within these plains, the Ganga plains specifically extend across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. In these states, the predominant method of irrigation is the tube well system.
I hope this answers your question.
Thanks
