What is the importance of writing nata.? Can't i just get admission in nit by jee main paper 2 score?
Both NATA and JEE Main Paper 2 are conducted for offering admission in B.Arch course. Students can can choose any of the above to get an admission into B.Arch course. Since both the exam have almost same exam pattern and difficulty level, selecting one among the two becomes dependent on college for which the admission is desired.JEE Main Paper 2 opens the door to NITs and GFTIs offering B.Arch course and NATA exam opens admission in colleges like SPA Delhi and CEPT University Ahmedabad. So choose according to the college you are willing to get an admission in. Check this link for more information.

All the best !
Hi Anagha,
Though JEE Mains and NATA both are for architecture both are advisable to write if your passion is architecture. It is simply because they are a lot of colleges who consider only NATA scores and not JEE Mains 2 score for architecture admission. Some of those include Anna University, Chennai, VIT VELLORE, Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai etc. Hope this helps. All the best!!
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.
Whereas JEE Mains gives you admission in NITs for B.Tech course.
