Hello Decembersboy,

The salary of an Indian ambassador varies according to different level. It should be around 60,000 INR  including all perks and allowances.

But if an IFS officer is placed in US or UAE the salary is around 2.4 lakh per month under Special Foreign Allowances. This allowance varies according to the place the officer is posted in. This allowance increases according to the grades also.

The benefits under the 7th pay commission are as follows:

  1. Wonderful accommodation of 2 or 3 BHK in cheap rates
  2. Car
  3. Household helps
  4. Security guards
  5. Medical treatment expenses
  6. Free electricity and water bills
  7. Free phone call
  8. Abroad study options
  9. Retirement and pension benefits
