The first thing all the IITian s and NITinans are not get placed from the campus itself. Most of them placed. Income varies across the field in which someone pursues a career. If someone goes to IT companies as almost more than 50% student do they got salaries ranging from 1 to 10 Million. But you can think of average around 15lakhs in IITs. On the other hand, if someone goes to the core field than they are paid little less and also fewer job opportunities their average package would be around 10 lakhs, There are very few students who make it to eight digits.

While an individual  who completes engineering from IITs who get a good placement probably gets packages ranging from 20-45 lakhs p.a depending on their work and skills.
