To get into Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram, you should qualify in JEE Advanced. Qualifying means you should have minimum of ten percentage in each subject and thirty five in all subjects together. It is the qualification for General category. And then once the registration starts you should register for it and admission occurs on the basis of IIST's rank list prepared based on merit.

Aerospace engineering JEE Advanced percentage cut off was 64.21% (opening percentage) and 53.83% (closing percentage) for the general category in 2017. For avionics, JEE Advanced percentage cut off was 60.93% (opening percentage) and 52.19% (closing percentage) for the general category in 2017. In 2018, the cut off was 43.89% (opening rank) and closing rank was 34.17% for the general category for Aerospace engineering.
