Maximum anyone got was when he/she was placed in Schlumberger Services considering core companies placement. The CTC offered was 34 LPA but let me remind you that’s only one or two from the entire batch (Mech, Chem, Ece).

There are many who do not appear for the core companies, rather they opt for the consultancies or IT firms whose packages varies on the role they are accepting the students (coding and being part of specific clubs help in development of these attributes).

Speaking about the lowest packages (being not placed is one; another being placed in an IT services firm which is considered as 0th placement, many a times) one need to understand that its not the univ at fault, rather the students who never worked hard and expect the firm to offer them good packages just because they are BITS student. I think one shouldn’t blame the campus placements for it .
