Actually there no percentage system in btech. All you need to score as CGPA, SGPA and YGPA. The maximum is to have 10. There is no necessary boundaries or differences in any courses. That also doesn't depend any university also. But most of the cases the well established companies are recruited minimum if having 7.5. So that is your minimum good one.

Well it does depend on thecourse as well as the college , the university and the professor but it is very much possible to score 9 cgpa in BTech. It will all come down to how much you have prepared for your exam, your relation with the teacher (matters in most cases) and how accurately you have prepared for the exam. To increase your cgp you can also do courses from MOOC like NPTEL oor do NSS or NCC activities as they provide credits too. All the best!
