Hello,
The median salary for a career is the halfway point of all salaries for that career. In other words, half of the people who work in that position get lower than the median salary. And the other half of the people in the career get more. It's like taking the entire salary collection and cutting it in half. You'll have maximum on both ends, with some people making much lower salaries and some people making much higher than the median. But the median salary is the middle point of the data that is available.
