Kea(Karnataka examinations authority) will consider marks of class 12 physics , chemistry and mathematics and marks of Kcet physics , chemistry and mathematics. 50% marks will be considered from class 12(Pu 2) and 50% marks from Kcet . They both will be combined and rank will be given.

If you have scored very well in class 12 , 45-50 marks in each subject are enough to get top engineering college in Karnataka. If not , then you need to score more than 50 , so that you will get top college as per your choice.

If you want to get into top engineering college then you should focus on getting good rank.If you want to get into top college then should try to get into top 500 students.

Basically entrance exam results are unpredictable and its cut off depends on highest score and number of applicants.So cut off (marks) changes so better focus on getting good rank.
