Jain University is one the top University , hosting a bunch of courses and  research workshops . The admission to all the courses is based of a entrance test conducted by the institution itself called as Jain Entrance test or JET . Upon qualifying this entrance exam and a few others like CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT one can seek admission to this University . There is a minimum criteria that the candidate must qualify to enroll himself for the entrance test .

As your query is regarding information technology , so here is the eligibility criteria for the same .

• The minimum eligibility criteria for B.tech programs is 10+2 qualification with physics and mathematics as main compulsory subjects along with chemistry / electronics /computer science / biology .
  
  
  
• Jain University also provides B.tech entry for candidates who are diploma holders .
  
  
  
• The total aggregate of marks should not be less than 60% in the higher secondary .
  
  
  
• For lateral entry program , physics and mathematics should be compulsory along with chemistry / computer science ,/biology / electronics . And the aggregate should not be less than 60% . For reserved category i.e. SC/ST is 45% .
  
  
  

The JET exam has two sections , limiting to 2 hour 30 minutes . The first section has the main subjects , mathematics , physics , chemistry , biology and section two has English skills .

The B.tech program is a 4 year program with a course fee of 160,000 per anum for 4 years , which varies according to the hons subject .

After qualifying the entrance exam i.e. JET , the score and ranks decides your seat probablity .

Other B.tech programs include

Aerospace engineering

Thermal engineering

Building science and technology

Energy engineering .and a lot more like food technology . This course even have their corresponding M.tech program governing their respective eligibility criteria .

You are required to have passed all the subjects you have in class 12th irrespective of the board you from which you  have passed class 12th for admissions to Jain university , Bangalore.

Jain university provides following courses for IT and you can choose any one of these to get into IT field,

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in Cloud Technology and Information Security



B.Tech Software Engineering



Basic eligibility criteria for both of these courses is as follows:



Passed in 12th /PUC or ISC/CBSE or equivalent board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry / Electronics / Computer Science / Biology.



Candidates with a minimum of 45% in the above subjects taken together. (5% relaxation for SC / ST).



International Baccalaureate students should get 30 credits to qualify for the course.



Cambridge students must study 3 subjects at 'A' Level (Advanced level) including Physics, ChemistryandMathematics.



Candidates who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply.



NIOS candidates are eligible to apply.



Apart from this you have to appear for JET entrance exam conducted by this institute and cut off of this exam varies every year based on number of students and their merit.
