Hello aspirant,

Now that would go down long because each one of the prestigious institutes has its own Gate cut-off deemed necessary for admission through Gate.

So starting with IIT Delhi,900 or approx 75 marks are required for entry through Gate.IIT Bombay requires 58 marks, IIT Kanpur 56.68,IIT Madras 748(cut-off),IIT Kharagpur 64,IIT Roorkee 57.23,IIT Guwahati 785(cut-off),IIT Hyderabad 764(cut-off) and finally IIT Patna 683(cut-off).There are many more IITS that have been left out. Mind you people…these cut-offs or marks are for the general category, not for the reserved ones.

Now, a candidate may take admission in any of the IITs as under these situations:

· Direct admission on the basis of Gate score

· Interview on the basis of the Gate score and then admission

· Short listing of the candidate on the basis of the Gate score, written test, Interview and then admission.

Hope this will be helpful...
