Considering you are a General Category Aspirant, I believe for getting either of ECE, ME or EE or perhaps Metallurgical or Mining, which too has at par placements at BIT Sindri, being located in a Mineral Rich Region, you need a minimum of 93 percentile, which roughly converts to an AIR of 80k. Previous Year one of my close acquaintances shortly missed out on a Mining Engineering Seat in General Category (Jharkhand Domicile) by 100 Ranks, with an AIR of around 132k. Whereas another at 72k AIR, also General Category and Jharkhand Domicile secured a seat in Mechanical Engineering at BIT Sindri. So you can expect a threshold of 80k for either of ME, EE or MT. BIT Sindri has standard placements for these core branches with Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Vedanta, JSW, Coal India being regular recruiters. BIT Sindri also has a reputation of producing GATE Toppers each year, with many moving to higher technical Institutes in India like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for pursuing Masters or Doctoral Degree.

Depending upon the category the minimum marks required to get BIT Sindri for any of these respective branches- ME, ECE, EE, CE should be around 85 to 90 percentile (for SC/ST, conisder around 80 to 85 percentile).
