• Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will be conducting VITEEE 2019 for B.Tech admissions across the various campuses namely Vellore and Chennai as well as the universities in Amravati and Bhopal. The entrance examination will be conducted in online mode from April 10 to 21, 2019 and admissions will be done based on the performance of the candidates in it. The application form of VITEEE 2019 is available in both online and offline mode for the candidates from October 28, 2018. Before registering, the candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2019. Invalid or ineligible applications may get rejected by the authorities. Slot booking process has to be completed by the candidates in March after which they will be able to access their VITEEE 2019 admit card. The scores and ranks secured in the VITEEE 2019 will be announced through the result to be announced in the last week of April. Since the counselling will be done in offline mode, the candidates will have to reach the counselling venue physically where allotment will be done according to the candidate’s rank and preferences. Computer science engineering (CSE) is one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants which focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Students pursuing computer science courses will gain knowledge of design, implementation and management of information system of both hardware and software. Going by the name, CSE course deals primarily with the theory of computation and design of computational systems. The course is offered across the globe in technical institutions at undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels awarding B.Tech and M.tech degrees, respectively. The present and future world can’t live without technology and the boom in the technology sector will lead to lucrative opportunities.

2. 50 seats category 2

there are 219 students and not many are from category one as they got admission in their better (according to them) regional colleges and in NITs.

But this is what they officially state:

No cutoff for admission, all based upon ranks. Every year the strength increases. 2014-18 batch(my batch) had 240 seats in the following distribution of categories:

1. 100 seats category 1

2. 50 seats category 2

3. 50 seats category 3

4. 40 seats category 4

But, the current scenario is:

you can get admission in vit if you can score the rank below 5k.if you can comes under 2k ranks then for sure you can get cse branch.the marks will changes with the year and also with different categories,so it is predicated that if you can score around 150+ then you can get cse in vit.
