There not any compulsion of minimum number of questions that a candidate must solve. You can solve as many questions you want. If you want to give answers of all questions you are free to do so. But I would suggest you to only give answers of those questions whose answers you know as there is negative marking in jee mains . So keep this thing in mind.

There is no limit to the number of questions that can be attempted, but getting more marks is required.
Therefore, it is highly recommended to attempt the questions subject wise. In you can attempt around more than 20 questions to get yourself a good score.

It completely depends upon the student and their knowledge regarding examination. If they have got good knowledge and has prepared all the concepts earlier then for sure they will be able able solve maximum questions otherwise they will failed to get even passing marks.
Luck factor sometimes works but not everytime in jee mains so it is important to study for the examination properly because the competition is very high and it requires proper strategy to secure good marks for it.
Also, taking about minimum marks to be scored then to be honest it completely depends upon the results of an individual along with their preparation.
